22 October 2021

We have a further eight races tomorrow which features the Vertem Futurity Trophy Stakes, the final Group 1 of the season. Virgin Bet take a look again at all the races on what is certainly packed full of quality horses.

1.00pm - Coco Bear finished 2 lengths ahead of Deputy when winning a 6 furlong handicap at Leicester earlier this month. Coco Bear goes up in the weights today but a chance may still be taken that he is a genuine improver and the heavy ground at Leicester was no concern for him.

1.30pm - Way To Win ran too freely last time out at Chester but can be a big danger if allowed to get an early lead like what happened in his impressive 11 length victory at a Lingfield maiden race on soft ground. Ryan Moore takes the ride today and the revised mark of 80 looks fair.

2.05pm - A competitive looking handicap with plenty of runners having a chance. Ibiza Rocks looked like an improving horse when running a big race at Ascot at the start of the month and seems open to further improvement for trainer Charlie Hills. Mo'assess is a lightly raced 3 yr old and  the dual winner could be dangerous off a mark of 92.

2.40pm - Apparate is a course winner over 1 mile 6 furlongs but has enough speed for todays 1 mile 4 furlong trip. Cockalorum may handle the soft going and drops 2 lbs in the weights after two disappointing runs at both Ayr and York. He remains a danger however if able to bounce back to form.

3.15pm  - Luxembourg should take a lot of beating in the feature race of the day. He was an impressive winner in the G2 Beresford Stakes at the Curragh last month and trainer Aidan O' Brien has won this race on 9 previous occasions. Sissoko was a nice winner of a Curragh maiden for Donnacha O' Brien and there could be plenty more to come from the son of Australia.  Bayside Boy was no match for Native Trail in the Dewhurst earlier this month but remains a big threat for the Roger Varian yard.

3.50pm - On breeding, Flaming Rib should handle this softer ground and comes into this race with the best form on offer. Deodar won his maiden first time out at Newbury last month and looks the main danger to Flaming Rib. Gold Medal won a Novice Stakes at Wolverhampton and now steps into listed company. An improvement would be needed for the Richard Hughes trained gelding but is not without his chances.

4.20pm - Zargun has improved over his race couple of runs. He goes up in the weights but remains a danger off a mark of 96. Boundless Power won last time out on heavy ground at Ascot and looks a danger considering his recent form for trainer Michael Appleby.

4.55pm - Canoodled looks to finish off her races well and there seems to be enough pace in this race to suit her running style. She is a previous winner on soft ground over 7 furlongs and there may well be plenty more to come from her. Areehaa is another filly who has been running well recently and looks a consistent type who won't mind the ground being on the soft side.. Ryan Moore takes the ride and has claims now dropping to a mark of 79.
