Owners & Trainers

Owners, Syndicates & Shared Ownerships may request up to eight complimentary O&T badges per runner (registered through PASS in advance of the raceday) for the restaurant, which includes a complimentary luncheon. Alternatively, any Owner with a runner on the day may request a minimum of 20 Syndicate badges, permitting access to the Syndicate Lounge. We do not offer a combination of both O&T and Syndicate badges, so Owners must decide in advance if you wish to enjoy O&T or Syndicate Lounge facilities. 

The number of Owners permitted into the Parade Ring is eight per horse. However, we appreciate this is an extremely important part of any Owner's visit and if you require additional badges, please ask in advance and where possible we will try to accommodate your request.  Please note, even if requested we do not guarantee more than eight Parade Ring passes per horse.

The O&T restaurant is conveniently located in the Logician Suite on the second floor of the Eco-Power stand. This restaurant is reserved exclusively for Owners & Trainers with runners that day and overlooks the racecourse and finishing straight. Jayne will be your host for the day, and you will be offered a complimentary luncheon (with a valid voucher), afternoon cakes with tea and coffee, a full bar and Tote service.  If you have any specific dietary or allergen requirements, please email rachel-blizzard@outlook.com in advance of your raceday.

Please be advised that tables within O&T may not be reserved for the whole day. We politely ask that when you finish dining, please be considerate and vacate or offer to share your table with other Owners & Trainers to help ensure that all guests can enjoy the same raceday experience.

Syndicates & Shared Ownerships have the opportunity to enjoy the exclusive Syndicate Lounge located in the Portland Suite on the 4th floor of the Eco-Power stand (must be booked in advance). The Portland Suite overlooks the racecourse, Parade Ring and finishing straight. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits will be served, with access to a pay as you go bar and light food offerings.

Our Syndicate Lounge offers those with Syndicate badges an exclusive suite to enjoy with fellow Syndicate and Shared Ownership members.

On arrival, please head for the Owners & Trainers Desk (through the main entrance to the racecourse and situated on the right-hand side) where Rachel Blizzard will look forward to welcoming you, providing your badges and any information pertinent to your visit.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available on site. You will be required to register the first time and details on how to do this are available inside the O&T and Syndicate Lounges. Upon registering for complimentary Wi-Fi at an ARC racecourse, you will automatically have access each time you visit one of our 16 racecourses.

Nothing is more important to us than the safety and welfare of the horse and rider. Central to this is the track itself and our ground staff do everything in their power to provide an optimum racing surface. 

On all racedays, we have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualified Vets, Doctors and Paramedics following the action at every stage. Their key responsibility is to monitor and provide care for the competitors (as necessary) throughout their time at the racecourse.

The locations and vehicle movements of these skilled specialists during racing are designed to provide a rapid response to any incident across the site. We also have a high-specification horse ambulance in attendance at every fixture to enable safe transport of a horse from the track to our on-site veterinary treatment facility for further treatment, or to the nearest equine referral hospital if required.

It is our standard practice to erect screens around any horse or jockey that requires attention on the course, thus providing a private, safe and calm environment in which to accurately diagnose and treat the patient as necessary. Please do not assume the worst if screens are erected.

We are fully committed to minimising risk in our sport, to dealing professionally and efficiently with any injury, and to maintaining the highest possible quality of care for the horses and jockeys racing at our course.

Our dress code is fairly relaxed (no ripped jeans or sports trainers). However, we do encourage dressing up for the occasion of a day at the races, and appropriate for the weather.

From the Owners & Trainers restaurant, you have direct access outside to the steppings via the large glass doors. The racing is also streamed to the internal TV screens located around the site.

For those unable to join on the day, all racing from Doncaster is broadcast live on Sky Sports Racing Channel 415. 

Owners with runners on the day may go into the Parade Ring for their race.

An allocation of eight Parade Ring badges is offered per runner. If you would like to request additional badges, please do this in advance of your raceday. We try to be flexible where possible to accommodate these requests – however please note that additional badges are not guaranteed.

Per the British Horse Racing Authorities General Instructions (BHAGIs), children under the age of 12 are not permitted access into the Parade Ring, and those aged 12-16 are permitted only when accompanied by an adult (section 8.4).

A presentation is made to every winning Owner and Trainer. Sponsors often provide mementos for the winning Jockey and Groom, in which case a presentation will also be made to the Jockey and Groom.

Winning connections are invited to watch a re-run of their race in ‘Winning Connections’ located next to the Weighing Room and hosted by Lorraine Whitaker. Celebrate with a glass of Monopole Champagne and a selection of nibbles. 

Winning Owners are invited to choose their preferred memento to take home on the day. All winning Owners will also receive a complimentary photograph and a copy of their race on a USB memory stick.  For those Owners who are unable to attend on the day, the memento will be handed to your Trainer or their representative.

If winning Owners are not present, we will endeavor to invite placed connections to enjoy the same experience.

We offer winning, placed and all Owners on the day complimentary USB copy of their race. Multiple copies are available should syndicates require them – please speak to Selena Cordova in Winning Connections to arrange this. Alternatively, e-mail Selena at ngriffiths@doncaster-racecourse.co.uk after your raceday if you would like additional UBSs sending in the post or via WeTransfer. This offer is also extended to all stable staff associated with a runner on the day.

The nearest hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn next to Doncaster Racecourse. There are also a number of other local hotels in the nearby area.

Announcements about inspections or abandonments of racing or individual races will be made through Racing Admin and our social media channels @DoncasterRaces including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.

On racedays, ROA Feedback postcards are available in all O&T facilities. These can either be filled in and handed to a member of staff before you leave, or alternatively, scan the QR code on the ROA Feedback postcard and submit your feedback online.

We really do appreciate your feedback as it enables us to understand what we are doing well, and areas that require improvement.

The Britbet Betting Shop is located inside the Grandstand Enclosure, and the William Hill Betting Shop is located inside the County Enclosure. Additionally, there are a number of Britbet and Tote windows around the racecourse. 

Independent Bookmakers also operate outside on the area in front of the Parade Ring and along the Bookmakers Rail in between both Grandstands.

Priority parking is reserved for Owners & Trainers in Car Park A. Please follow the yellow directional signage for Car Park A, located off Leger Way and speak to one of our parking stewards if you require any assistance on the day.

Several forward parking spaces are reserved for Accessibility and Blue Badges. These are offered on a first come first served basis. If you have a particular accessibility request, please contact the Racecourse Office in advance of your raceday on 01302 304200 and we will do our best to accommodate your requests.

Doncaster Train Station is located just two miles from the racecourse and is a 40-minute walk. There is a Taxi rank directly outside the Train Station, and Taxis will pick up on Leger Way opposite the main entrance to the racecourse. On racedays, taxis are not permitted to pull into the front car park.

A Shuttle Bus service also operates between Doncaster Frenchgate Interchange (Train Station) and Doncaster Racecourse. The service will commence from the Interchange at approximately the time of our gate opening and continue until approximately 30 minutes before our first race. The return journey (which will stop at a designated point on the sound of the bell) will start just after the penultimate race and continue until approximately one hour after the last race. If there is entertainment following racing the service will continue until this has finished. The Shuttle Bus service does not operate for our non-racing events such as fireworks.

Doncaster Racecourse operates as a cashless venue and therefore there are no cash machines onsite. Bookmakers do still accept cash and cashback can be obtained from the Tote.

Winning Owners will receive a complimentary photo of their horse on the day.

A Going Report for all race days is made seven days before each fixture, and updated regularly through TurfTrax.

The latest Going, when available, can be found by selecting your raceday at www.doncaster-racecourse.co.uk.

Children accompanied by an adult are welcome in our O&T facilities.

We offer a maximum two places to those aged under 12 including luncheon. Children aged over 12 will be considered as part of an Owner's badge allocation on the day and will require an O&T badge and luncheon voucher for access.

If children would like something different to the O&T menu offered on the day, please ask our O&T Host Jayne who will be happy to arrange this for you.

The O&T Restaurant and Syndicate Lounge are both wheelchair accessible. There is an accessible viewing platform under cover and overlooking the finishing straight which can be accessed through the O&T Restaurant.
