BACKGROUND
On Saturday 9th November 2024, Virgin Bet and Doncaster Racecourse combine to host Women’s Day race day event, giving race fans a day to truly celebrate women in the sport, open discussions on inclusivity and diversity, and inspire those interested in a career in horse racing, all as a part of Virgin Bet’s ongoing A Good Bet social initiative project.
As part of the event, VB, Doncaster and Natalie Pike will host a pair of inspiring panel discussions in the Exhibition Hall ahead of racing activities on the afternoon of Saturday 9th November.
Panelists include Executive Director of Doncaster Racecourse, Rachel Harwood, Racing Welfare CEO, Dawn Goodfellow, Trainee Clerk of the Course, Sophie Green, General Manager of Go Racing In Yorkshire, Charlotte Russell, and WalkSafe Founder & CEO Emma Kay.
ABOUT VIRGIN BET’S A GOOD BET CAMPAIGN
The Women’s Day event is part of Virgin Bet’s ongoing ‘A Good Bet’ brand purpose, where the brand will look at ways they can knock down pre-existing barriers within the sports events in which they support, garnering a greater level of accessibility and inclusivity.
