the Lincoln Handicap has storied history, having been held at Doncaster Racecourse since 1965, when it was transferred from Lincoln Racecourse. First run in 1849, the race has evolved through various names, including the Lincolnshire Handicap and the Lincoln Spring handicap, before becoming the Lincoln Handicap that it is today.
