We are so excited to welcome you back for The Betfred St Leger Festival 2024.

Get ready to enjoy the roar and cheer with friends and family. Please find all information relevant to your visit below.

We ask everybody to work together along with our staff and stewards to ensure a safe and thoroughly enjoyable event for all.


Visitor Information - Key Information


Important traffic information

Due to traffic congestion, caused by roadworks, we recommend avoiding Junction 4 West Moor Interchange.


Tickets

Your ticket will be emailed out to you a few days in advance of the meeting taking place.

Badges for County and Premier will be handed out on the day when you arrive.

Hospitality & Restaurant badges will be waiting at your place setting.

Children 17 and under go free to the races when accompanied by an adult. You will need to collect a child's ticket from the ticketing office or turnstile on the day of the racing whilst accompanied by a full paying adult.


Are tickets available on the day?

Guests aged over 60 receive half price admission in the grandstand and family enclosures when booked on the day at the gate with valid photo ID.


What payment method do you accept?

All bars and food outlets are cashless and will be accepting card and contactless payments only. However bookmakers and the tote will still accept cash payments. As there are no cash machines on the racecourse, please bring cash with you if this is your preferred method with bookmakers.

One half will be operating with free parking and one half closest to the site will be charging £5.00 per vehicle.

Thursday - 11:50

How do I get in?

For County Enclosure and The Old Weighing Room - Please use Gate 4

For County Enclosure, Premier Enclosure, Hospitality & Restaurants (excluding The Garden suite, Hilton Hotel) - Please use the Main Entrance

For Marquee - Enter via Bawtry Road

Garden Suite - Please use the Hotel Main Entrance

For Grandstand - Please use the Grandstand gates

For Family - Please use Gate 8 at the end of the racecourse opposite Whitbys


What transport is available?

Thursday 12th September and Friday 13th September - Buses will run from Doncaster Frenchgate Interchange from 11:20 until approx. 14:00. Returning from the Racecourse from approx. 17:30, until event has cleared (including after the music)

Saturday 14th September - Buses will run from 11:00 from Doncaster Frenchgate Interchange from 11:00am until approx. 14:00, and returning from Racecourse from approx. 17:00, until event has cleared (including after the music).

Services from the Racecourse will operate to Doncaster City Centre, via Salutation and Regents Square, East Laith Gate, Market Road (for the Wool Market), and into Doncaster Frenchgate Interchange (for buses and trains). 

Shuttle buses are not operating on Sunday 15th, but you can catch the below services towards Bawtry Rd/Leger Way.

Handbags | Luggage

We advise you to bring nothing larger than an A4 handbag, unless you are in the Family Enclosure.

On Sunday picnics can be brought into all areas of the racecourse - No alcoholic drinks are permitted.

500ml bottles of soft drinks can be brought on site on Sunday, they must be sealed and checks will be in place.


Can I bring furniture?

Only on Sunday – Can’t bring gazebos or big umbrellas


Is there entertainment on?

All entertainment on the Champagne Lawn is permitted for County, Premier and Hospitality guests. Grandstand guests can upgrade tickets on the day to access entertainment.

Thursday Champagne Lawn – Post racing Marvin Humes 60 min set.

Friday Champagne Lawn – Post racing Onside Britpop 60 min set.

Saturday Champagne Lawn – Post racing The Ultimate Party Band 90 min set.

Grandstand Hall – Post racing DJ 60 min set post racing (Grandstand customers only- Can upgrade from Family Enclosure).

Sunday – Entertainment throughout the day includes:   

-Stilt walkers

-Circus workshop

-Kids disco

-Glitter artist

-Bubble artist

-Fire engine

-Treasure hunt

-Colouring station

No post racing entertainment.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Thursday | Friday | Saturday

Food is only permitted to be brought on site in the family enclosure. No alcoholic drinks can be brought on site

Sunday
