22 entries were received for the SkyBet Chase at Doncaster this Saturday, with almost £57,000 on offer to the winner of the 3m chase.

Rowland Meyrick winner Into Overdrive is a horse firmly on the up and is the current ante-post favourite for the race after being entered by Mark Walford. Another horse who fits the mould of an improver is Tea For Free who has been given an entry after his latest victory at Newbury.

Paddy Power Chase winner Ga Law could make his comeback from a short break, while Cap Du Nord has been placed in this race twice before so would be looking to make it third time lucky if declared by Christian Williams.

Nicky Henderson could be doubly represented in a race he won for the first time in 2020, with his Dusart & maiden-chaser Mister Coffey both entered. Other names to note among the list of entries are the consistent Java Point, in-form Equus Dancer and last year’s winner Windsor Avenue.

As well as the SkyBet Chase, there are three Grade Two events which take place consecutively ahead of the feature race on the card.

12 horses have been entered for the Watch Off The Fence On attheraces.com Lightning Novices' Chase (G2) over 2m including course winner Tommy’s Oscar. Boothill has won three out of his last four for Harry Fry and could feature while so too could facile Warwick scorer Haddex Des Obeaux

Nicky Henderson’s former Champion Hurdler Epatante is the star name among 10 entries for the Sky Bet Yorkshire Rose Mares' Hurdle (G2), also over 2m. The 10-year-old has never run at Doncaster before but is looking to get back on the winning trail after facing Constitution Hill the last twice. Molly Olly’s Wishes & the Lucy Wadham-trained Martello Sky are likely runners in a contest Wadham won last year with Miss Heritage.

The Albert Bartlett River Don Novices' Hurdle (G2) over 3m has attracted 19 entries, including Stay Away Fay for Paul Nicholls who has won this twice before. There could be two Irish representatives with The Wounded Knee entered for Patrick Neville and Grand Soir entered for last year’s winning trainer John McConnell.

The seven-race card is due to begin at 12.55pm with the final race of the day set to take place at 4.25pm.
