As Ladies across Yorkshire go shopping for that perfect race day outfit, sponsor DFS announces the prizes for the best dressed lady 2019.
Ladies Day, is the highlight of the social calendar, and the day when frocks, frills and fascinators share centre stage, alongside the thrilling racing action.
The 2019 Ladies Day competition is already underway, with many ladies entering during the Construction Index Race day- featuring Rita Ora Live on 29 June. The winner of the June heat was rewarded with a much sought after place in the St Leger Ladies Day Final.
However don't despair, the fast track competition has been revealed on Facebook, this competition provides one lucky lady a second much sought after spot in the final, alongside the winner of the June heat. The big prize! Drum roll please... sponsor DFS has confirmed the following prizes for the winner of St Leger Ladies Day Best Dressed Lady 2019. The star prize is a Holiday for 2 to Santorini, hospitality for 4 at York Racecourse, Annual Membership for 2 at Doncaster Racecourse, Annual Gym Membership at Nuffield Health, and a Bouquet of Flowers.
The winning lady also goes forward to the Go Racing in Yorkshire Best Dressed Final, also held at Doncaster in October.
The prize for the second place Lady is Race day Hospitality for 2 and an overnight stay in the Hilton Garden Inn, with third prize being; a 3-course meal at the Old Weighing Room Restaurant for 2 people. All runners up receive County Enclosure tickets to a forthcoming race day.
Katie Maini who works for a legal firm was named St Leger’s best dressed Lady 2018, having previously won the spring competition, Katie also went on to win the Go Racing in Yorkshire Best Dressed Lady Final which was also held in Doncaster in October.
“I can’t believe it, it’s just fantastic to win” gasped Katie when crowned Best Dressed Lady in 2018.
