ENBIHAAR continued her upward curve as she ran out a narrow winner of the Group 2 DFS Park Hill Stakes.
John Gosden’s filly won the Lancashire Oaks back in July before recording an impressive win at Glorious Goodwood on her last start.
That saw the four-year-old go off the 6-5 favourite at Doncaster despite having to give weight away to her seven rivals.
Jockey Jim Crowley was content to drop her in at the rear of the field as Peach Tree made the early running. Rounding the home turn Crowley began to make his move as Enbihaar cruised into top gear on the outside.
Having battled past Mark Johnston’s Vivid Diamond, Aidan O’Brien’s Delphinia (15-2) then emerged as the closest challenger but could not get her head in front in the closing stages and had to settle for second.
Vivid Diamond (12-1) took third.
The performance saw William Hill cut Enbihaar into 10-1 for the British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot in October.
Winning jockey Crowley said: “She pulled up a little bit in front when she got there but she had a lot of weight on her back and it was a great performance to give that weight away to her rivals.
“I think her best trip is a mile and six furlongs but at Ascot over a mile and a half they’d have to go a good gallop. She’s a nice easy horse to ride and you can put her in anywhere in the race. She could go forward so I don’t think the drop in trip would matter.”
