Eight Declared For The Kameko Futurity Trophy Stakes

Eight have been declared for the £200,000 Kameko Futurity Trophy Stakes at Doncaster this Saturday, the final Group One of the British Flat racing season.The Charlie Appleby-trained, Ancient Wisdom, who was supplemented for £17,500 on Monday, is the current 7/4 joint favourite. The impressive Group Three Autumn Stakes winner has won three of his four career starts. 

Diego Valazquez, who has won both of his two starts this season and was last seen winning the Group Two Champions Juvenile Stakes at Leopardstown at the beginning of September, is also at the top of the market. Trainer, Aidan O’Brien, is the leading trainer of the Kameko Futurity Trophy Stakes having tasted success on eleven occasions. 

Dancing Gemini followed up a Newbury maiden success with a hugely impressive win in the Listed Flying Scotsman Stakes at Doncaster’s Betfred St Leger meeting for trainer Roger Teal. John and Thady Gosden will be hoping God’s Window can provide them with a first success in the Kameko Futurity Trophy. The son of Dubawi is a course winner having landed a maiden on his sole start at Doncaster’s Betfred St Leger meeting in September.

The David Menuisier trained Devil’s Point finished fourth in the Group Three Prix Thomas Bryon Jockey Club de Turquie at Saint Cloud on his last start having finished third in the Group Three Solario stakes at Sandown prior to that. 

Redhot Whisper, trained by Ben Brookhouse, will be hoping to overturn the form with God’s Window havingfinished second behind him at Doncaster last time. 

Deira Mile will be having his first start for new connections having joined Owen Burrows’ yard from Charlie Johnston.
