Peter Pan open auditions come to Doncaster Racecourse

The magical fairytale that is the story of Peter Pan is winging its way to Doncaster this Christmas, in a fabulous 1068 seated arena and the producers are looking for local talent.

Producers David Lee and Stadium Entertainments Events Ltd are searching Doncaster and surrounding areas to find two teams of six young performers to appear as The Lost Boys' in the magical adventure, to be set at Doncaster Racecourse this Christmas.

"We have always had a great response from the youngsters in the region," said director David Lee, on his recent visit to Doncaster.

"I've always been very impressed with the standard of the talent here in the north. I for one, am looking forward to seeing who comes through the door on Saturday 5th July!"

The show will star Sally Thomsett, from the golden age of sitcoms like "Man About The House" and hit movies like "The Railway Children" who will play Mrs Darling. There is also the welcome return of comedy favourite Pee Wee Price - Civic Theatre favourite, in the role of Smee.

"We will also be looking to cast Michael and John Darling, who will fly in Neverland along with Peter and Sister Wendy" said David.

All budding performers must between the age of seven and 15 years and can either be male or female. The ideal maximum height sought if 5ft 4.

Anyone auditioning must also be available for the month of December 2014 and up to 5th January 2015.

The Open Auditions will take place at the Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday 5th July 2014, with registration at 10am to 11am. All applicants are advised to arrive early to be seen and will be given a script to read for the audition.
