How to book

To book your Christmas Live party call our team on 01302 304 265 to make a provisional reservation for up to 14 days.

To confirm your reservation a non-refundable deposit (£20 per person for Christmas Live or £30 per person for New Year's Eve) is payable within 14 days of booking.

Full non-refundable payment of the balance is required 6 weeks before your chosen party date.

What is the dress code?

All of our Christmas parties operate a smart dress code (no jeans, trainers or sportswear) with the exception of New Year’s Eve which is black tie.

Will the disco have strobe lights?

Yes the stage shows and discos will have bursts of flashing lights.

Can we run a bar tab for our table?

No, unfortunately we are unable to run bar tabs during these events. This is due to the overall capacity and number of different groups at the venue. We do, however, sell drink vouchers which can be purchased prior to the event to be distributed to your guests.

What is a Drink Voucher?

This is a voucher that can be purchased before the event and can be redeemed at the bar for £3 in value.

Can I order wine at my table on the evening?

On the night you can order wine form the pre-order point in the reception area or from the wine waiter at your table. We would encourage you to pre-order your wine and drinks before the event to take advantage of the pre-order discount and in order to reduce waiting time on the evening.

What if I do not wish to pre-order wine or drink vouchers?

A full bar facility will be available throughout the event. Payment can be made by cash, credit or debit card.

What time does the evening start?

All of our Christmas parties start with arrival drinks from 7pm, with dinner served at approximately 7:45pm.

Can I leave my car overnight?

You are able to leave your car overnight, at your own risk, subject to availability. Parking for all festive events at Doncaster Racecourse is free of charge.

How do I get to Doncaster Racecourse?

Directions can be found on our website. Satnav users please use postcode DN2 6BB. You will need to be in possession of a valid ticket for entry into the venue.

What size are the tables?

To guarantee a table private to your party a minimum booking of 8 guests must be made. Any bookings made of less than 8 guests will be allocated a shared table. The maximum number of guests we are able to seat on one table is 12. Any parties exceeding this number will be placed over two or more tables which will be adjacent to each other within the dining area.

A table plan will be produced by the events team for all shared parties and will be displayed on the evening. Doncaster Racecourse endeavours to meet all requests but regrets that these cannot be guaranteed.

How do I pay my final balance / for my wine and drinks pre-order?

There are a number of ways to make payment. These are in person at Doncaster Racecourse reception with cash, cheque, credit or debit card, by post with cheque or over the telephone by credit or debit card. No fees are charged for payments by credit card but we regret to inform you we are unable to accept American Express or Diners cards.

What is you policy on alcohol service?

Doncaster Racecourse operates a strict Challenge 21 policy. If you are lucky enough to look under the age of 21, you will be asked for proof of age (photographic identification required) when attempting to purchase alcohol. Doncaster Racecourse reserves the right to refuse service to anyone unable to produce proof of age on request.

If I have any drinks left at the end of the night can I take them home with me?

Due to our licence all alcohol needs to consumed on site. It is not permitted for any alcohol (open or unopened) to be taken off the premises.

Can I smoke at Doncaster Racecourse?

In accordance with the introduction of the smoking laws, all areas of the venue are no-smoking. We do however provide guests who wish to smoke with a designated smoking area outside of the venue.

What if I don’t like the menu?

The menus are set for each event. However there are vegetarian and vegan alternatives available for each course and we will try and accommodate any dietary requirements that we are notified of in advance of the date of your party. Due to the scale of our Christmas Parties (up to 1000 guests), it is very difficult to cater for individual tastes and our menu has been devised with a great amount of care to take into consideration vegetarian and vegan diets, wheat, gluten and nut allergies to ensure we are able to cater for special dietary requirements but we regret we are unable to cater for individuals likes and dislikes. We can cater for Halal meals when pre-ordered. We cannot prepare or supply kosher meals, however, you are welcome to arrange for us to receive a kosher meal on the day of your party and we will cook this in our ovens and serve (within the tray) to your table. There is no additional charge for this service, however neither does the guest receive any discount on the ticket price.

Will the coffee be served to our table?

We no longer serve coffee to your table as feedback from previous events suggests that after three courses the majority of our guests can’t wait to get up and party! However, for guests who would enjoy tea or coffee there will be a station available which will be open from 10pm – 11pm for you to visit.

Is there a cloakroom?

Yes there is a free cloakroom available where you are welcome to leave your belongings for the duration of your party. These are left at your own risk and you will be provided with a ticket to retrieve your belongings on departure from Doncaster Racecourse.

Will there be a photographer at the event?

We will have a photographer present throughout the event to take shots of you and your guests. You can purchase and take home your photographs on the night although we regret they will not be able to order after the event.

Are there cash machines available at Doncaster Racecourse?

Yes there are cash machines available at the venue for your guests use throughout the evening.
